1999, De Appel, Amsterdam
‘Anarchitecture’ was a group exhibition held at Amsterdam art space De Appel, then located at Nieuwe Spiegelstraat, under the direction of Saskia Bos. The show was curated by participants of De Appel’s annual Curatorial Training Program: Lorenzo Benedetti, Anja Dorn, Machiko Harada, Rob Tufnell, and Suzanne van de Ven.
The work IN-SITU 1999 intervened in the various spaces and layers of the building at Nieuwe Spiegelstraat. It created and blocked new sightlines, transforming the routes through the building and the exhibition.
