The Teacher is a 24-page publication in which a simple gesture unfolds: a woman descending a staircase. The publication is composed of found .GIF images — low resolution, compression artifacts. Through conversion to an extremely enlarged CMYK halftone, the analog printing screen imposes a new structure over the digital distortions.

The publication is accompanied by an A6 folded text sheet featuring a line from Robert Walser’s Die Lehrerin.
